Hirtenberg, November 2025. The ALCAR Group has once again successfully demonstrated its commitment to sustainability in 2025. As part of its ongoing responsibility towards society, employees and the environment, the company was once again assessed by EcoVadis, the world's largest and most recognised provider of sustainability ratings.
In the second group-wide assessment, the ALCAR Group once again achieved a bronze medal, placing it among the top 35% of all companies worldwide that have been assessed by EcoVadis in the past twelve months. The development in the industry group ‘Manufacture of parts and accessories for motor vehicles’ is particularly pleasing: ALCAR is now among the top 13% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, representing a significant improvement on the previous year (top 17%).
Christian Morawa, CEO of the ALCAR Group, is proud of the renewed award: ‘2025 marks not only another successful year for us, but also proof that our consistent work on our sustainability goals is bearing fruit. This award confirms that we are economically strong as a company and at the same time take our environmental and social responsibility seriously.’ He adds: ‘This award is another milestone that underlines our commitment and our focus on the future.’
By participating in the EcoVadis assessment once again, the ALCAR Group is underlining its objective of creating transparency, achieving measurable progress in the areas of environment, social affairs and governance (ESG) and further strengthening its position as a responsible partner in the European retrofit market.
The EcoVadis evaluation is based on 21 sustainability criteria in four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
